Online exhibition - Experience a world unseen
Held in partnership with the Royal National Institute of Blind People, “the photography exhibition you don’t need to see” centered around a series of emotive images taken by world-renowned photographers, teamed with elevated prints, audio descriptions, soundscapes and braille. Each picture was also obscured by screens simulating a range of different sight conditions – from glaucoma to diabetic retinopathy – to help sighted people gain a better understanding of what partially sighted people are tackling on a daily basis.

Case study - Photo museum aan het Vrijthof
The Fotomuseum aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht, the Netherlands, had a special exhibition by Dutch photographer and media personality Humberto Tan: ‘Tomorrow will be better’. Next to videos and audio tours for adults and children, the exhibition also showed several elevated prints of the hands. The prints were prepared with PRISMAelevate XL and printed on the Arizona series. It created an extra layer as visitors could not only see the photographs, but could also touch it and feel it. This gave a unique connection to the person behind the photograph.

Case study - Mauritshuis
She might be one of the most beautiful girls of the Netherlands. Or maybe even in the world. The Girl with a Pearl Earring, painted by Johannes Vermeer in 1665 is well known across the world. For a special project by the Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague, The Netherlands, Canon Production Printing contributed to give this true Dutch masterpiece new dimensions through its unique elevated printing technology.
