Guandong is Canon UVgel media ambassador

Our application specialist Daniek Jacobs hosted Guandong Italia through the media ambassadorship program in our Venlo application lab

The well-known media manufacturer media manufacturer Guandong, based in Milan and known for its innovative approach in media and substrates fort the printing market is now officially a Canon UVgel ambassador.

The two industry players were no strangers to each other but intensified their collaboration the first weeks of the new year 2022.

Guandong visited the application lab in Canon Production Printing’s HQ in Venlo, the Netherlands and spent a good 2-day profiling and testing their media portfolio. While there, they also took advantage to test and verify the upcoming products they have in their pipeline.

Sustainability is high on the agenda of both companies, and it is encouraging both for the industry and the planet that their new and successful “Wally” range with Nano-dots (PET film for flat surfaces) as well ‘Nano Tacar’ (PET film for car wrapping) are coming out looking superior, as well as their ‘Dotty’ line (regenerated PVC) which is available in several satin and gloss finishes

In line with that sustainability aspect, also their offering for wallcovering such as the ‘Revita’ solution (100% recyclable with textile feel) were completely profiled within that short time span of the visit.

Canon ’s Colorado series of Roll2Roll printers feature the unique UVgel which is confirmed in the market as the only ink technology that combines vivid, ultra-robust and washable output together the critical qualities for interior applications such as the absence of odor and the choice between a gloss or matt finish.
