Operating from Venlo, The Netherlands, within walking distance of Canon Production Printing, SAM specializes in transforming cellulose-based waste streams – sourced from both natural products and the printing industry – into high-quality panels. These innovative panels offer a sustainable alternative for a variety of applications, ranging from materials used in construction and interior design to displays and fittings. To explore new possibilities in sustainable printing, SAM’s panels were tested on Arizona flatbed printers at the Canon Experience Center (CEC) in Venlo. These printed panels made their debut at FutureBuild Expo in Brussels, Belgium, an event dedicated to shaping the built environment for a Net Zero future. By demonstrating how graphics and messaging can be printed on fully recyclable media, this collaboration underlined the potential for sustainable signage, displays, and architectural elements. Since the panels can be returned to the manufacturing process, they offer a truly circular alternative for industries looking to reduce waste and improve sustainability.
